Healthy Chicken Burger

This crispy chicken burger is a tasty treat that is easy to prepare. Juicy chicken fillets are coated with crispy corn flakes, seasoned with The Spice Club Chicken and served on a bun with lettuce and a spicy Sriracha yogurt sauce. A perfect combination of flavors and textures!

For the Chicken:

  • 2 chicken fillets
  • 2 tsp Spice Club Chicken ·PURCHASE🛍️
  • 125 g flour (for dipping)
  • 2 eggs
  • 50g cornflakes
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese (optional)

For the Sriracha Yogurt Sauce:

  • 240 ml Greek yoghurt
  • 30 ml sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 lime

For the Citizen:

  • 2 (whole wheat) rolls
  • Salad
  • Optional: tomato and cucumber slices

STEP 1: Preheat the Oven or Airfryer

  • Preheat your oven or Airfryer to 180°C for the chicken fillet and the rolls. Bake the rolls according to package instructions, if necessary.

STEP 2: Prepare the Chicken Fillets

  • Place the chicken fillets on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Drizzle them with 30 ml oil and sprinkle them generously with 10 g The Spice Club Chicken spice mix.

STEP 3: Prepare the Dipping Stations

Create 3 dipping stations:

  • Fill one bowl with 125 g flour.
  • Beat the eggs in another bowl.
  • Fill the third bowl with 50 g finely crumbled cornflakes.

STEP 4: Cover the Chicken Breasts

  • Coat each chicken breast first with flour, then with egg and finally with the finely crumbled cornflakes. Press firmly so that the cornflakes stay in place.

STEP 5: Fry the Chicken Fillets

  • Place the covered chicken fillets in the oven or Airfryer and let them bake for about 15 minutes. After 10 minutes, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each chicken breast and bake for another 5 minutes until the cheese melts.

STEP 6: Make the Sriracha Yogurt Sauce

  • In a bowl, mix 240 ml Greek yogurt with 30 ml sriracha sauce (adjust to taste) and the juice of 1 lime. Stir well.

STEP 7: Prepare the Burger

  • Cut the baked rolls in half. Cover the bottom half with some of the sriracha yogurt sauce, lettuce and optional tomato and cucumber slices.

STEP 8: Add the Chicken and Serve

  • When the chicken is done (check to see if the chicken is done), place it on top of the covered bun. Add some extra sauce to taste and place the top of the bun on top.
