Tuna burger with rice


Try these delicious tuna burgers served on a bed of cooked brown rice and topped with The Spice Club Fish seasonings and toppings! Perfect for an easy & healthy weeknight meal.

  • 200gr Rice)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 can of tuna
  • 1 cup panko
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp light mayo
  • 1 cup of cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 100 ml Greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp The Spice Club Fish
  • The Spice Club Topping (optional, for garnish)


STEP 1: Prepare the Brown Rice

  • Measure 200 grams of brown rice and cook it according to the instructions on the package. Drain and set aside.

STEP 2: Make the Tuna Mixture

  • Chop the onion finely and set aside.
  • Take a large bowl and add the drained can of tuna. Use a fork to crumble the tuna. Add 1 cup of blended panko to the tuna.
  • Beat 2 eggs and add them to the bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of light mayonnaise.
  • Add 1 tablespoon hot sauce (add more for extra spiciness, to taste).
  • Season with 2 teaspoons The Spice Club Fish seasoning.

STEP 3: Form the Tuna Burgers

  • Mix all ingredients in the bowl well until you have a cohesive mixture.
  • Divide the tuna mixture into four equal portions and form into patties.

STEP 4: Bake the Tuna Burgers

  • Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little oil.
  • Cook the tuna burgers for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

STEP 5: Serve the Tuna Burgers

  • Place a portion of cooked brown rice on a plate.
  • Cut the tomatoes and divide through the rice.
  • Place a tuna burger on top of the rice.
  • Mix the hot sauce, Greek yogurt and mayonnaise to taste in a separate bowl and serve this sauce with the tuna burgers.

Garnish with The Spice Club Topping for extra flavor and texture.
