Noodles with mushrooms & peppers


Try our tasty noodle dish with mushrooms, peppers and a delicious ginger-soy sauce. A simple recipe packed with flavor!


4 persons

  • 200 grams of whole wheat noodles
  • 300 grams Chicken
  • 200 grams of mushrooms
  • 1 red pepper
  • 120 grams of carrot
  • 5 cm ginger
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 clove garlic or 1 tsp The Spice Club Garlic Powder ·ORDER 🛍️
  • 20 grams cashew nuts (optional for garnish)
  • 2 tsp The Spice Club Indo·ORDER 🛍️
  • 4 tbsp The Spice Club Poke·ORDER 🛍️
  • 4 sprigs fresh coriander (optional for garnish)
  • salt, pepper, sambal or sriracha to taste (optional)


Step 1: Cook the whole wheat noodles

  • Bring a large pot of water to the boil.
  • Add the whole wheat noodles to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions (usually 8-10 minutes).
  • Drain the noodles and rinse them with cold water to stop cooking. Set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the vegetables and chicken

  • Cut the chicken fillet into cubes
  • Cut the mushrooms into thin slices and the carrot into small pieces.
  • Remove the seeds from the red pepper and cut it into small pieces.
  • Peel the ginger and grate it finely.

Step 3: Make the sauce

  • In a bowl, mix the grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, The Spice Club Indo and garlic powder (or a crushed clove of garlic). Stir well to ensure all flavors are well mixed. Set the sauce aside.

Step 4: Fry the vegetables

  • Heat a wok over medium heat and add a little oil.
  • Add the chicken to the hot wok and fry for 3 minutes
  • Add the mushrooms, red pepper and carrot
  • Stir-fry for 5 minutes until the vegetables are soft and lightly browned and the chicken is cooked through.

Step 5: Add the sauce

  • Pour the sauce you made in step 3 over the sauteed vegetables.
  • Stir the vegetables well so that they are evenly coated with the sauce.
  • Let the vegetables simmer for another 2-3 minutes while they absorb the flavors.

Step 6: Serve the noodle dish

  • Add the cooked whole wheat noodles to the wok with vegetables and sauce.
  • Mix everything together well so that the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce and vegetables.
  • Spoon the noodle dish onto plates.
  • Garnish with The Spice Club Poke, chopped cashew nuts and fresh coriander (optional).
  • Add salt and pepper and hot sauce to taste.
