Mexican Tostada


Easily make delicious tostadas at home with our special spice mix. Follow our easy recipe for a quick, tasty and healthy meal. Perfect for every day, our mix adds that authentic Mexican flavor to your tostadas!

Step 1: Prepare the Tostadas

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and line a large baking tin with baking paper.
  • Place the tortillas in a single layer on the baking pan. If necessary, drizzle them with a little olive oil.
  • Fry for 5 minutes on each side, turning once, until crispy and golden brown.

Step 2: Prepare the Spicy Chicken

  • Cut the chicken fillets into small pieces and place them in a bowl.
  • Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon over the bowl and add 4 tablespoons of THE SPICE CLUB MEXICAN spice mix.
  • Mix the chicken well so that all pieces are evenly coated with the spices.
  • Cook the seasoned chicken in a pan over medium heat for about 5-8 minutes, or until the inside is white and cooked through.

Step 3: Prepare the Toppings

  • Make the salsa by cutting the tomatoes, avocado, finely chopped red onion and fresh coriander into small pieces. Add a dash of lime juice and mix everything well.
  • For the Greek yogurt sauce, combine 200 ml low-fat Greek yogurt with 1 tablespoon of THE SPICE CLUB MEXICAN spice mix in a bowl.
  • Mix well into a tasty sauce.

Step 4: Assemble the Tostadas

  • Top each tortilla with a layer of guacamole salsa, followed by the spicy chicken and some grated cheese.
  • Garnish with the Greek yogurt sauce and add THE SPICE CLUB TOPPING for extra flavor and crunch, if desired.
