Try this delicious recipe for grilled 5 spice chicken thighs, marinated in a tasteful mix of garlic, ginger, chili paste and the unique Chinese 5 Spice herbs. Perfect with rice!

  • 600 g kippendijen
  • 1 limoen, uitgeperst
  • 1 el vissaus
  • 3 teentjes knoflook, geperst
  • 1 el rijstazijn
  • 2 el The Spice Club Chinese 5 Spice mix
  • 2 tl sambal oelek (of andere hete chilipasta)
  • 2 tl verse gember, geraspt
  • 1 tl sojasaus
  • Rijst (gekookt, om erbij te serveren)

preparation

Step 1: Make marinade and cook rice

  • Meng in een kom het limoensap, vissaus, geperste knoflook, rijstazijn, The Spice Club Chinese 5 Spice mix, sambal oelek, geraspte gember en sojasaus.
  • Kook de rijst volgens instructies op de verpakking

Step 2: Marinate chicken thighs

  • Voeg de kippendijen toe aan de marinade en zorg dat de kip volledig bedekt is. Dek de kom af en laat de kip minimaal 30 minuten (bij voorkeur 2 uur) marineren in de koelkast.

Step 3: grilling

  • Verwarm de grill of grillpan op middelhoog vuur.
  • Haal de kip uit de marinade en gril de kippendijen aan beide kanten in 6-8 minuten goudbruin en gaar, totdat de interne temperatuur 75°C bereikt.

Step 4: Serve

  • Serveer de gegrilde 5 spice kip met gekookte rijst.
