Enjoy tasteful grilled chicken shawarma kebab. This recipe combines tender chicken meat with a spicy and savory taste, perfect for every occasion. Prepare with herbs such as cumin, cardamom and turmeric, and finished with a refreshing touch of lemon in the tahini sauce. Serve with rice, salad or flat bread for a delicious meal.

ingredients

4 people

  • 240 ml magere Griekse yoghurt
  • 4 tl the spice club maroc
  • 2 tl zout (optioneel)
  • 1,4 kg kipdijfilet zonder vel, in stukjes van 2,5 cm gesneden
  • Vers gehakte peterselie, voor garnering (optioneel)

Tahini sauce:

  • 120 ml tahin
  • 60 ml verse citroensap (van 2 citroenen)
  • 2 teentjes knoflook, fijngehakt
  • ½ tl koosjer zout

preparation

  1. Meng in een grote kom de Griekse yoghurt, the spice club maroc en (optioneel) zout. Voeg de stukjes kip toe en zorg ervoor dat ze goed bedekt zijn met het yoghurtmengsel. Laat minstens 1 uur marineren, bij voorkeur 's nachts in de koelkast.
  2. Rijg de gemarineerde kipstukjes op metalen spiesen.
  3. Verwarm een grillpan of barbecue voor op middelhoog vuur. Grill de kipspiesjes ongeveer 6-8 minuten aan elke kant, of tot ze gaar zijn en mooie grillstrepen hebben.
  4. Maak ondertussen de tahinisaus door de tahin, citroensap, knoflook en zout te mengen. Voeg indien nodig water toe om de gewenste consistentie te bereiken.
  5. Serveer de gegrilde kip shoarma kebab met een royale hoeveelheid tahinisaus en bestrooi met verse peterselie. Serveer met platbrood, rijst of salade naar keuze. Geniet ervan!
