Fast & Healthy Curry Paste


Make your own green curry paste with THE SPICE CLUB THAI for an authentic taste experience. This homemade paste is rich in flavor and can be used to make delicious green curry dishes, sauces and marinades. Prepared with fresh ingredients such as green chillies, peppers, garlic, lemongrass, ginger and spring onions, this paste offers a perfect balance between spicy and sweet. Optionally, you can add some maple syrup or honey to balance the heat of the peppers.

  • 2 green peppers
  • 1 green pepper
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 stalks of lemongrass
  • 1 piece ginger
  • 4 spring onions
  • 3 tablespoonsTHE SPICE CLUB THAIspice mix
  • Optional: maple syrup or honey


Step 1: Preparation

  • Prepare your ingredients by removing the stems and seeds from the green chilies and peppers, peeling the garlic, slicing the lemongrass and slicing the ginger. Cut the spring onions into slices.

Step 2: Mixing the Ingredients

  • Place the prepared green pepper, bell pepper, garlic, lemongrass, ginger, spring onions and THE SPICE CLUB THAI in a food processor or blender.

Step 3: Mix into a Smooth Paste

  • Blend the mixture until a smooth paste forms, wiping the sides of the container as necessary. If the mixture is too thick and does not mix well, add a small amount of water, a tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.

Step 4: Optional Sweetness

  • Once the paste is smooth, you can optionally add the maple syrup or honey to the mixture and mix again until well combined. This helps balance the heat of the peppers.

Step 5: Taste and Store

  • Taste the green curry paste and season with maple syrup or honey if necessary.
  • Transfer the green curry paste to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze it for up to a month. Use this flavorful paste to make delicious green curry dishes, sauces and marinades.
