Green Shakshuka with Avocado
Recipe
Taste the freshness of our Green Shakshuka with Avocado, a unique twist on the classic dish. Prepared with our special spice blend, this recipe combines the rich flavors of green vegetables with the creaminess of avocado. Ideal for a healthy, nutritious meal that is both delicious and easy to make!
ingredients
4 persons
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 100 grams of fresh spinach
- 100 grams of kale, without stems
- 300 ml vegetable stock
- 2 tablespoons THE SPICE CLUB SHAKSHUKA spice mix
- 4 eggs
- (Feta) cheese to taste (optional)
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Fresh coriander or parsley, for garnish
- THE SPICE CLUB TOPPING, for extra flavor
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Crispy bread, pita or salad (optional, for serving)
preparation
Step 1: Prepare the Onions and Garlic
- Finely chop the onion and garlic.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and fry for about 5 minutes until it starts to soften.
Step 2: Add Garlic and Vegetables
- Add the chopped garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the spinach and kale and cook for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are wilted.
Step 3: Make the Sauce
- Add 300 ml vegetable stock and 2 tablespoons of THE SPICE CLUB SHAKSHUKA spice mix to the pan.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the stock has thickened slightly.
Step 4: Add Eggs
- Make four small wells in the vegetable mixture and carefully crack an egg into each well.
- Add (feta) cheese to taste if desired.
- Cover the pan and cook over low heat for about 5-8 minutes, or until the whites are cooked but the yolks are still slightly runny.
Step 5: Serve and Garnish
- Garnish the shakshuka with avocado slices and fresh coriander or parsley.
- Sprinkle some THE SPICE CLUB TOPPING over the top for extra flavor.
- If desired, serve with crusty bread, pita or a side dish of salad to create a balanced meal.
