Honey Garlic Kebab


Try these flavorful Grilled Chicken Satays with a delicious sticky glaze. Easy to make, perfect for an easy & healthy weeknight meal


4 persons

  • 500 g chicken thighs or chicken fillet
  • 200g Rice
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (with little salt)
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 teaspoons THE SPICE CLUB MAROC spice mix
  • Skewers
  • Spring onions
  • Olive oil
  • THE SPICE CLUB TOPPING (optional for garnish)


STEP 1: Cutting chicken

  • Cut 500 g chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.

STEP 2: Cook Rice (Optional)

  • If desired, cook rice according to package instructions.

STEP 3: Make marinade

  • In a bowl, mix 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons honey, juice of 1 lime and 2 teaspoons THE SPICE CLUB MAROC spice mix.
  • Make sure the marinade is well mixed and save some for frying the rice.

STEP 4: Marinate Chicken

  • Place the chopped chicken pieces in the marinade and make sure they are well covered.
  • Marinate the chicken for at least 15 minutes for maximum flavor.

STEP 5: Chop spring onions

  • Chop the spring onions finely.

STEP 6: Grilling

  • Heat the grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  • Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers.
  • Grill the chicken satays for 10-12 minutes, turning regularly, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice sticky glaze.

STEP 7: Fry Rice (Optional)

  • Optionally, fry the cooked rice for 1 - 2 minutes with the remaining marinade.

STEP 8: Serve

  • Sprinkle the grilled chicken satays with the finely chopped spring onions and THE SPICE CLUB TOPPING before serving.
