Shakshuka with Chicken


Discover the power of protein-rich meals with this delicious Chicken Shakshuka, enriched with the unique flavors of The Spice Club Shakshuka spice mix.


4 persons

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 300 grams of chicken cubes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 red pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (400 grams) diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons The Spice Club Shakshuka spice blend
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 eggs
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • The Spice Club Topping, for extra flavor
  • Crispy bread, pita or a side salad (optional, for serving)


STEP 1: Fry the Chicken

  • Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
  • Add the chicken cubes and fry until golden brown and done. Remove them from the pan and set them aside.

STEP 2: Prepare the Vegetables

  • In the same pan, add the onion and red pepper.
  • Cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the garlic and cook for another minute, until the garlic is fragrant.

STEP 3: Make the Sauce

  • Add the diced tomatoes, The Spice Club Shakshuka spice mixture, salt and pepper.
  • Simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.

STEP 4: Add the Chicken and Eggs

  • Add the fried chicken cubes to the pan and stir well to coat them in the sauce.
  • Make four wells in the sauce and break an egg into each well.
  • Cover the pan and let the eggs set until desired doneness, usually about 5-7 minutes.

STEP 5: Serve and Garnish

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and THE SPICE CLUB TOPPING before serving.
  • If desired, serve with crusty bread, pita or a side dish of salad to create a balanced meal.
