ingredients

4 people

  • 600 gram kipfilet, zonder bot en vel, in stukjes van 3-4 cm gesneden
  • 2 eetlepels olie
  • 1½ eetlepel maïzena
  • 2 theelepels verse sinaasappelrasp
  • 100 ml vers geperst sinaasappelsap (van ongeveer 2 sinaasappels)
  • 3 eetlepels natriumarme sojasaus
  • 4 theelepels The Spice Club Chicken Curry Mix
  • 2 eetlepels bruine suiker (optioneel, voor extra zoetheid)
  • 2 teentjes knoflook, fijngehakt
  • 1 eetlepel rijstazijn

preparation

Prepare chicken:

Put the chicken pieces in a large bowl and sprinkle with cornflour. Mix well so that all pieces are evenly covered.

Prepare sauce:

In a separate bowl, combine the orange zest, orange juice, soy sauce, the spice club chicken curry mix, brown sugar (if used), finely chopped garlic and rice vinegar. Stir well and set aside.

Bake chicken:

Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium heat.

Add the chicken-covered chicken and fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the pieces are golden brown and cooked. Stir regularly to prevent burning.

Add sauce:

Pour the sauce mixture over the fried chicken into the pan.

Bring to the boil and simmer for 2-3 minutes, so that the sauce thickens slightly and mix the flavors well.

Serve:

Remove the pan from the heat and serve the sweet chicken curry with orange immediately.

Delicious with steamed rice or noodles and a fresh green vegetable of your choice.
