Calabrian Chili Pasta with Lime
Recipe
Discover a flavorful combination of lime and chili in this delicious pasta recipe. With fresh ingredients and The Spice Club herbs, this dish brings the flavors to life. Serve with a topping of extra cheese and chopped parsley for a true taste sensation.
ingredients
4 persons
- 15 ml olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 680 g tomato passata
- 4 tsp The Spice Club Italian
- 2-4 tsp The Spice Club Chili pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 340 g pasta of your choice
- 200 g Huttenkase (light)
- 100g grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for serving
- 2 tsp grated lime zest
- 15 ml fresh lime juice (from 1 lime)
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
preparation
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add the tomato passata, Italian spice mix & chili pepper. Stir well and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and reserve some cooking liquid.
- Add the cottage cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, lime zest and lime juice to the sauce. Stir well until the cheese has melted.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and mix well. If necessary, add some of the reserved cooking liquid to thin the sauce and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the pasta warm, garnished with additional grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired.
