Try this tasteful crispy salmon for a quick and impressive meal. The delicious herbs of The Spice Club Cajun Rub give the salmon a perfect balance of spiciness and warmth, while roasting in olive oil and butter ensures a crispy outside and a juicy inside. Served with a lemon part, this dish is perfect for a weekday evening or a special dinner.

4 people

  • 4 zalmfilets (ongeveer 125 g per stuk)
  • 4 eetlepels The Spice Club American Rub
  • 2 eetlepels extra vierge olijfolie
  • 2 eetlepels ongezouten boter, gesmolten
  • 1 citroen, in partjes gesneden

preparation

  1. Verwarm een grote koekenpan, bbq of grill op middelhoog vuur.
  2. Dep de zalmfilets droog met keukenpapier. Wrijf elke filet in met The Spice Club Cajun Rub, zodat de kruidenmix goed over de zalm verdeeld is.
  3. Verhit de olijfolie in de hete pan. Zodra de olie heet is, leg je de zalmfilets met de huid naar boven in de pan. Bak de zalm 3-4 minuten aan één kant, of totdat de kruiden donker en knapperig worden (maar niet verbranden).
  4. Draai de zalm om en voeg de gesmolten boter toe aan de pan. Bak nog eens 3-4 minuten, of totdat de zalm naar wens is gaar.
  5. Haal de zalm uit de pan en serveer direct met een partje citroen om eroverheen te knijpen.
