Ingredients for the meatballs:

  • 800 g rundergehakt
  • 1 ei, losgeklopt
  • 1 el Worcestershire saus
  • 3 teentjes knoflook, fijngehakt
  • 2 tl The Spice Club Meat Lover Mix
  • 1 el extra vergine olijfolie

Ingredients for the tomato sauce:

  • 800 g tomaten passata
  • 2 tl The Spice Club Meat Lover Mix
  • 2 tl Worcestershire saus

For it (optional):

  • Pasta of gebakken aardappeltjes

preparation

Step 1: Prepare meatballs

  • Meng in een grote kom het rundergehakt met het ei, Worcestershire sauce, knoflook, The Spice Club Meat Lover Mix. Kneed goed door tot alle ingrediënten goed gemengd zijn.
  • Vorm kleine gehaktballetjes (ongeveer 3 cm in diameter).

Step 2: Baking meatballs

  • Verhit de olijfolie in een grote koekenpan op middelhoog vuur. Bak de gehaktballetjes in porties tot ze aan alle kanten goudbruin zijn (ongeveer 8-10 minuten). Haal de gehaktballetjes uit de pan en zet ze apart.

Step 3: Make sauce

  • Gebruik dezelfde pan waarin de gehaktballetjes zijn gebakken. Voeg de tomatensaus, The Spice Club Meat Lover Mix, en Worcestershire sauce toe. Roer goed door en breng de saus aan de kook.

Step 4: Add meatballs

  • Voeg de gehaktballetjes weer toe aan de pan met saus. Laat de gehaktballetjes in de saus sudderen op laag vuur voor 15-20 minuten, zodat de smaken goed kunnen mengen.

Serve:

  • Serveer de gehaktballetjes met de rijke tomatensaus over pasta of naast gebakken aardappeltjes. Garneer eventueel met verse basilicum of peterselie.
