Discover a healthier version of a classic dish with our Healthy Lasagna. This flavorful lasagna combines fresh vegetables and authentic Italian flavors, while providing important nutrients.

  • 1 package of whole wheat or gluten-free lasagna sheets
  • 500 grams of lean minced beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 800 grams of fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 200 grams of fresh spinach
  • 1 zucchini
  • 200 grams of ricotta cheese
  • 200 grams of grated mozzarella cheese


Step 1: Prepare the Meat Sauce

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Fry the finely chopped onion and crushed garlic until soft.
  • Add the ground beef and fry until brown and done. Then add the two cans of diced tomatoes and 2 tablespoons of THE SPICE CLUB ITALIAN spice mix.
  • Let this mixture simmer for 20 minutes so that the flavors can blend well.

Step 2: Heat the Oven

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

Step 3: Assemble lasagna

  • Start with a layer of the minced meat-tomato mixture in a large baking dish. Place a layer of lasagna sheets on top.
  • Follow with a layer of spinach and zucchini slices.
  • Divide half of the ricotta and a third of the grated mozzarella over this layer.
  • Repeat this process until all the ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of lasagna sheets on top. Make sure the top layer is well covered with the remaining mozzarella.

Step 4: Bake the Lasagna

  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  • Then remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let the lasagna rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
