Sesame Garlic Noodles

Enjoy these flavorful Sesame Garlic Noodles, perfectly seasoned with The Spice Club Indo spice mix and roasted sesame oil. Quick, simple and delicious!

4 persons

  • 3 (85 g) packages of instant ramen noodles, without flavor sachets
  • 60 ml soy sauce (low in salt)
  • 60 ml oyster sauce or hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
  • ½ -1 teaspoon chili sauce such as sambal or sriracha
  • 60ml water
  • 4 teaspoons The Spice Club Indo spice mix
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (about 2 teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 4-6 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

preparation

Step 1: Boil the noodles

  • Bring a large pot of water to the boil. Add the instant ramen noodles and cook according to package directions, usually about 3 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Make the sauce

  • In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce (or hoisin sauce), rice vinegar, brown sugar (if using), chili sauce, water and The Spice Club Indo spice mix. Set aside.

Step 3: Prepare the seasonings

  • Heat the toasted sesame oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and grated ginger and fry for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 4: Combine the ingredients

  • Add the cooked noodles to the pan with the garlic and ginger. Pour the sauce over the noodles and stir well so that everything is well mixed.
  • Add the thinly sliced ​​spring onions and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the noodles are well coated and heated through.

Step 5: Serve

  • Remove the pan from the heat and sprinkle the sesame seeds over the noodles.
  • Serve the sesame-garlic noodles immediately, possibly garnished with extra spring onions, the spice club Poke or The Spice club coco & hazel and a little extra chili sauce to taste.
