ingredients

4 people

  • 450 gram rundergehakt
  • 60 ml (zout arme) sojasaus of tamari
  • 1 eetlepel bruine suiker
  • 2 eetlepels The Spice Club gember
  • 240 ml water
  • 1 kopje bevroren erwten
  • 280 gram rijst naar keuze

preparation

Start cooking the rice according to the instructions on the package. Once the rice is cooked, keep it warm by covering it.

Heat a little oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.

Add the ground beef to the pan and fry it regularly, until it is completely cooked and brown.

Then add the ground ginger to the minced meat and fry for a minute until the aroma is released and the minced meat is wonderfully fragrant.

In a separate bowl, mix the sodium soy sauce (or tamari) with the brown sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Then pour this mixture over the minced meat into the pan.

Let the minced meat simmer in the sauce until the sauce has thickened slightly and all flavors are well mixed, about 5-7 minutes.

Finally, add the frozen peas to the minced meat and sauce mixture. Stir well and let it simmer for a few minutes until the peas are completely cooked.

Divide the warm boiled rice over the plates or bowls. Spoon the ginger-meat mixture generously over the rice. Garnish with extra chopped ginger for an extra kick. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious meal!
